Are you willing to help with the audio/visual needs of our services? There is need for more people to run the projector computer during services, monthly or bi-monthly. Familiarity with worship songs, an eye for design, and basic knowledge of PowerPoint is helpful. But never fear, we'll train and work with anyone who is willing! Please contact Tami (Nathan) Peachey today to volunteer.

The Personal Evangelism Network will be a monthly gathering of people who want to grow in their ability to share their faith on a one on one basis. We will pray for each other, encourage and challenge each other, and share ideas and resources. Our first gathering will be at the Barrville Mennonite Church, 48 Barrville Mtn.Road, Reedsville, on Monday evening, February 6th, at 7:00 p.m. For more information, call Carl Geissinger at 667.2788. The Canners are back! After passing by Belleville last year, the MCC canning unit is going to be stopping in Lewistown at the East Derry Fire Company on US 522 between Lewistown and McClure from February 13th - 16th. We will again have a chance to volunteer with this life saving project where 24,000 lbs. of turkey is canned and sent to hungry people all over the world . Jobs include cutting the meat into chunks, washing cans, stirring kettles of meat, weighing the meat, cleaning up, labeling cans, and putting the cans in boxes for shipping. Donations of meat are no longer being accepted due to government regulations, but monetary contributions to buy the meat are always gratefully received. Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. If you have any questions, you may call John Byler or Sally Clark, members of the MCC Relief Committee.

News from Gator Camp:
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Eph. 6:10-11. We’re so grateful for the Lord’s armor, and are sometimes more aware of it than other times. This week has been one of those times when it seemed that the enemy was charging on every front! The boys have home visit this weekend, and many times the week prior to home visit is drama-filled, as boys act out their feelings about going home. Some of them are nervous about their behavior at home; are they going to be able to fulfill the hopes of their families? Others know that nothing has changed at home yet, and it’s quite difficult to be successful in an environment that has failed in the past. Still others may be going home to a different step-parent or a new “significant other” in a parent’s life. The enemy is so busy in today’s society creating havoc in families, as children with two biological parents living together have become a minority. Please pray for each of these boys as they go home this weekend: Curt, Travis, Austin, Daniel, Sebastian, Kevin, Jonathon, Chandler, Zachary, Dylan, Colby, Jared, Brandon, Andrew, Evan, Matthew, Michael, Noah, Christopher, and Cameron. And, pray for the chiefs as they have several days off: Tyler, Josh, Leon, Jeremy, Dave, and Gregg. As we prepare to begin the new session with the boys on Tuesday, February 7th, please pray with us that we might be strong in the Lord, and continue to put on His whole armor. Quill and Ann

DAILY PRAYER GUIDE - February 5 - 11

5 Sun - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

6 Mon -Pray for the pastors and elders meeting tonight in their February meeting. Pray for clear direction for them as they discuss needs, goals, and opportunities for ministry through our church family. Also tonight is the first meeting of the Personal Evangelism Network, a monthly gathering of people who want to grow in their ability to share their faith. Pray for group members in their meeting at Barrville Mennonite Church tonight

7 Tues -Pray for Elrose Glick in his recovery from pneumonia. Continue to pray for Jim & Tawni Buchanan, Ray Byler, David Clymer, Sara Ann Yoder, and Sadie Byler in their ongoing health needs.

8 Wed -Thank God for all of the Amish in our area who are experiencing the love of Jesus flowing through them. Pray for the Amish who have yet to find that love and joy, and for each of our neighbors to come to know Him.

9 Thurs - Pray for God to bless and direct Mark & Gloria Zook in their ongoing work with the Mouk people of Papua New Guinea, and pray for Gloria in her ongoing health issues,

10 Fri - Pray for Christians in China. A recent report on persecution states that in 2011, 131.8% more Christians were detained for their religious beliefs than were detained in 2010. Also, of those detained, more experienced torture than ever before. It seems the government is targeting those who are most effective in their witness. Pray for courage.

11 Sat - Pray for Max as he prepares a message for tomorrow morning from Mark 2: 1-12. Also pray for him as he prepares to travel to Ohio for a meeting of the Rosedale Mennonite Mission board tomorrow evening and all day Monday. And pray for Glen Peachey as he prepares to lead the worship team tomorrow.
